Despite the gloomy weather, over 2,000 attended this year's Mutt Strut
Dog Walk & Festival making it a
huge success! An estimated $50,000 was raised this year to go towards our efforts to end euthanasia as a means to control pet overpopulation!
Canines and their families made it out to participate in
the day's activities that included a "race the wind" contest,
a police K-9 demonstration, agility demonstrations by the Flying Jacks,
dancing demonstrations by the Virginia Foxtrotters (click here for videos taken from the event), a Frosty Paws eating
contest, a canine costume contest, and children's face painting.
More information
to come, but we wanted to thank everyone that came out to help support
the welfare of Suffolk's companion animals. Check back soon for more
updates!
